For the Love of Paper:
Alfredo Gisholt

The first international show produced by Katy Contemporary Art Museum, “For the Love of Paper” by artist Alfredo Gisholt, held an artist reception the evening of Nov. 18. Guest Curator, Mariana Valdes Debes, visited with guests and videographers on hand to record that the exhibit will travel throughout Mexico in 2017 thanks to Debes. Ironically, Gisholt first began the series as a departure from paintings he was working on over three years ago. People were drawn to the larger-than-life works, and over time the collection grew into an exhibit of its own. Finally, the show came into its own and Gisholt even produced many pieces just for the KCAM exhibit. KCAM’s intimate setting allows for complete immersion, and guests can relax while taking it all in. Whether you have a quarter of an hour or a quarter of a day, it’s a lovely way to fall in love with art all over again.

Located at 805 Avenue B in Historic Downtown Katy, KCAM will feature the exhibition until Jan. 15. Stop by and be part of this historic event.
