Cross Creek Ranch Entry

‹Cross Creek Ranch Celebrates 2,000th Home Sale

It took Cross Creek Ranch in the City of Fulshear five and a half years to reach a milestone 1,000 home sales. Now a little more than two years after The Johnson Development Corp. acquired Cross Creek Ranch, the development has doubled that number, with more than 2,000 homes sold in the community.

Putting the community over the 2,000 home mark are Troy and Amy Bozeman, who bought a Highland Homes design this spring. Relocating from Louisiana for work, the Bozemans chose Cross Creek Ranch after scouring communities from Katy to Humble.

“My husband will be working from home, so we have flexibility in where we live,” Amy said. “We searched every neighborhood from Katy to Humble and selected Cross Creek Ranch because of the Katy school district and easy access to the Westpark Tollway. Plus, we just fell in love with the obvious quality of the subdivision and Highland Homes.”

General manager Rob Bamford says he expects home sales in Cross Creek Ranch to remain strong as buyers are attracted to the development’s generous list of amenities and proximity to the Energy Corridor, the Grand Parkway and a future extension of Westpark Tollroad.

“With a water park, fitness center, disc golf course, a spray park, lap pool, dog park, Flewellen Creek Nature Preserve and a boardwalk that crisscrosses a 50-acre natural habitat, residents find plenty to do in Cross Creek Ranch,” he said.

With 418 home sales in 2014, Cross Creek Ranch was No. 5 on the list of top-selling Houston developments and ranked among the nation’s top 20 master-planned communities. More than 1,840 families call Cross Creek Ranch home, with the number of occupied homes expected to be near 2,000 when the Bozemans move in near the end of October with their children: a 5-year-old, 15-month-old and a newborn.

Cross Creek Ranch began development in 2006 and celebrated its first home sale in 2008. The Johnson Development Corp. purchased the property from Trendmaker Homes in 2012. It was also named the Greater Houston Builders Association’s Master-Planned Community of the Year for a second time in 2014.

Eleven builders have opened 19 model homes in Cross Creek Ranch, offering an array of executive and luxury home designs priced from the $280,000s.
